Here it is! I had so much fun and really wanted to show off my beautiful soup from my partner Melanie of Earthenwood Studio. It was really fun designing with the wonderful collection of goodies that I got. The clasp was so beautiful I couldn't bear to have it not seen so I changed it around a bit and made it the focal!
Never one to want things to be symmetrical I made it non-symmetrical! Beads on one side and chain on the other. I am happy with how it turned out!
I had so much to play with I made a cool necklace out of the focal. HEHEH.
Then I finally made a pair of earrings out of impossibly cute leaves. These little guys are so easy to work with. The have little metal loops that make it so you can just slip them on a pair of earwires and bam your done. I added my beads to them and am really happy with the results.
Ok so thank you for stopping by and on to the next blog. Here is the link to Bead Soup Blog Hop

Beautiful pieces!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of making the clasp your focal! And earrings are to die for. I could use a pair like them. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteLove how you worked the clasp to the front, really cool and shows it off really well. Those earrings are bloody adorable. I love Melanie's pieces and boy did you show them off well.
ReplyDeleteLovely work, but my absolute favourite is the earring pair - the leaves are lush, and your gorgeous beads looks like enchanted acorns above them!
ReplyDeleteHazel
Your asymmetrical design is fabulous. I've always done symmetrical but I'm really starting to see things not quite so ordered anymore. I made my very first asymmetrical piece for the bead soup blog hop.
ReplyDeleteThose are all just wonderful. I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful designs. My favorite is the first necklace; I love the variety of colors and shapes, very unique and fun!
ReplyDeleteOh you made my beadies very happy! I love all the wonderful pieces that you made with the soup I sent you! Thanks for being a great blog partner!
ReplyDeleteOhhh clever way to use that sunflower clasp! They're all so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love those earrings! Nice innovation in using the clasp. Your lampwork is amazing-- I'll have to visit your Etsy site. I simply adore your new circle components. If you know my work, you can see how I identify with those wheels. We have to talk.
ReplyDeleteThat clasp is so cute. No wonder you didn't want to hide it. They're all super pretty. Great soup!
ReplyDeletePerfect soup to work with, and I SO want those earrings!
ReplyDeleteI love the color palette on that first necklace! I adore navy with ivory and rust, and just the barest touch of pale green is extra lovely! I love how you used the connector rings, and the pewter was a surprising and nice touch--the mixed metals really work in that piece. Your acorn beads are just darling, and so perfect with those leaves. Love the rusty brown with the mauve and lilac.
ReplyDeleteGreat pieces! Suzette
ReplyDeleteLovely pieces with Melanie's beads. Love all the color you added. Super!!
ReplyDeleteVery earthy combinations - I love the designs, color mix, and media mix. Everything turned out just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAll of your designs are so pretty! Love the cute earrings! :)
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with your bead soup. Those earrings are great - my favourite!
ReplyDeleteCute earrings and I love both necklaces. Your lampwork goes great with the ceramic pieces you got to work with.
ReplyDeleteI agree Libby making the clasp a focal was brilliant. I also really love the earrings with the leaves. Great work.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you that clasp is definitely too cute to hide, it is such a happy necklace. The other necklace and earrings are cute also.
ReplyDeleteI love both of your necklaces. I had the same situation with my clasp - I didn't want to hide it.
ReplyDeleteThe earrings are very cute!
I love them! I use clasps as focals, or on the side of the piece, too, because there are some that are just too pretty to hide!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll join me again in the summer!
I adore those impossibly cute leaves! Beautiful pieces, well done :) x
ReplyDeleteGreat pieces, those leaves look like they're hanging from little acorns. Really nice designs.
ReplyDeleteImpossibly cute leaves really are impossibly cute! Great ingredients and cooked to perfection too! Wonderful pieces!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, aaaaah! What a gorgeous necklace and I love the asymmetry. Beautiful pieces!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful bead soup you received! I love how you put those lovely lampwork beads together in the first piece, and the way you used the clasp as a focal. But my favorite is that second necklace because it is so simple, yet gorgeous all the same. Darling earrings!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Love it all.
ReplyDeleteGreat bead soup and best work!!! Greetings, Doris
ReplyDeleteGreat ingredients lead to great soup! :) Beautiful pieces. I love, love those earrings.... :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Miss Libby! I love the soft color palette and I find it more interesting to have that balanced asymmetry. Those leaves with your glass are too cute! So glad you got to play in this Bead Soup. It was yummy!
